I bought this as a present for my boyfriend and the lightbulb did not work so we had to go buy a new one. But, once we got it working it worked pretty good. For some reason the liquid doesnt’ seem to move around as much as most lava lamps the stuff kind of sits at the top. But,that could also be because of the different bulb I had to buy.

I really like the atmosphere created by a Lava Lamp, and I’ve had one almost consistently since I was in high school in the ’60s. I placed my last one in a spot where the sunlight hit it, and it bleached all of the color out of the water. I re-ordered the same silver/blue lamp that I had before.
