Trent just enjoys stretching out with vocal chords every once and a while. I really enjoys making these types of videos and I hope you all like them just as much. When I got fired on the spot, I would have smashed that wimpy little prick in the nose and make him bleed all over the dancefloor while everyone watched. The wannabe DJ fires the real DJ and get owned in front ovf everyone. Great music and ok “economic lights”, and a boring unexperienced crowd with kids. This is a good video of the lights. all four of these fixtures can be DMX controlled. So chain them together with DMX cables, address them, and then you can have full control over colors, fading, etc. I’ve thought about going down that path, but in most of my situations just having the two Revo IIIs and the two Punch LEDs set for audio response and master/slave seems to be sufficient.
Can you just shoot white led @ the wedding event, is there a controller that just can apply white light only?

Obviously not cocktail hour music, but you can see the guests were acting more like cocktail hour guests. I totally agree that this configuration doesn’t show the Revo III LED Punch Pro in the best light.
This is definitely NOT wedding lighting. If this was during the cocktail hour…I would have fired you on the spot. This is tacky

I like this more, I would not want a huge ligth show if I was having a wedding disco, small one like this is more relaxed. Plus the music that playing is of more intrest to me

I think it’s cool. No offence ment, but then alot of people go to a wedding disco, they don’t want a light show you would see at a big consert, with loads of preprogramed DMX lighting. A setup with afew good, intresting lights, setup right and more importantly, a DJ who does good music is more of intrest, to me

Hey, thanks for the feedback. It works well for me, and tends to outperform other DJ light setups that I’ve seen at weddings. I’m not a club DJ, and most weddings here in the States frown on fog machines, etc. If I was going “fog”, I would certainly invest in something with motion.
As I said about this video, all four of these fixtures were independent, and I’ve quit doing that. I always chain the two Revos together and the two Punch panels together.

thanks! It is a simple setup. I’ve found the trick is to have the Revo III’s pointed at a wall, floor or ceiling so people can watch the dots. Then point the Punches at the dancer’s waistline, so they aren’t blinded, but they get the feeling of being in the spotlight.
It’s a simple set up. But very effective, you do not need loads of expensive equipment to get a good effect, which is good, as I want to get into this stuff, but don’t have unlimited funds.
good question. I usually have them about 7-8 ft off the ground, pointed towards the waistline of the dancers. In this video, they are about 25 feet from the center of the dance floor. They are much more directional than I thought when I bought them, but running them Master/Slave, either sound active or fading through colors works well. They are really bright, so dancers feel like they are in the spotlight.
